Bayvarol Varroa Destructor 20 Strips

Bayvarol is a sustained-release plastic strip designed for use in beehives to control parasitic mites (Varroa destructor) on honey bees. Available in Canada since 2017, Bayvarol’s efficacy and safety to both beekeepers and bees have been tested with positive results.

• Active ingredient: Flumethrin, 3.6 mg/strip
• Twice the contact area (4 strips/brood chamber)
• Treat all infested colonies within the yard at the same time
• Rotate with different chemical groups that control the same pests

Varroa Mite treatments, including Bayvarol 20 Strips are a regulated Class C Pesticide under the Pest Control Products Act and Ontario Regulation 63/09. 

Class C Pesticides may only be sold to individuals who possess  one of the following:

• Certified and Registered Apiarist / Beekeeper
• Certified Farmer
• Exterminator
• Pesticide Vendor

A valid copy of at least one of these licenses will be required at purchase to acquire any Class C Pesticide treatment.
